Accessibility in Interregnum
Interregnum is a roguelike solitaire game for phone and PC, made to be played one tap or click at a time. This page says what the game supports today, what it does not support yet, and how to reach the studio.
What the game supports
- Screen reader: every screen and the table are labelled. You can play a whole run, change the options and reach support with the screen reader. With it on, feedback sounds adjust so they do not talk over it.
- Reduced motion: the game follows the system setting and turns animations off. There is also a switch of its own in Options.
- Telling suits apart without colour: red and black suits have distinct symbols, and the four-colour suits option gives each suit its own colour.
- Larger cards: an option in Options.
- Left-handed mode: an option in Options that mirrors the table layout.
- System text size: the game follows the setting up to 1.5× in the menus and 1.3× on the table.
- Tap and click are the primary interaction; dragging is optional. Nothing requires a compound gesture, quick reactions or simultaneous touches.
- Keyboard and controller: you can play with a keyboard or a game controller, with no mouse or touch needed.
- No video, no speech and no essential audio: everything that makes a sound has a visual equivalent.
What it does not support yet
- System text sizes above 1.5× are not followed yet: text stops at the cap.
- Voice control has not been tested.
- There is no light or dark theme that follows the system: the game has a single palette.
- Contrast has not been measured against WCAG.
