   Upstream declares the same nine faces as TrueType, loaded from the design
   system's own `assets/fonts/`. This file declares the same nine faces as
   latin-subset WOFF2 served from `/fonts/`, and adds `unicode-range`. That is
   the entire difference, and it is a difference of *delivery*, not of *design*.

   So on a re-sync you diff the table below against upstream's, never the file
   against the file. What must agree, exactly:

   If upstream adds a weight, add it here and re-run `tool/subset_fonts.sh`.
   `test/assets_test.dart` is the guard that actually catches a bad re-sync:
   it asserts every family/weight pair `typography.css` names has a matching
   `@font-face` here, and that each `.woff2` this file references exists on
   disk. The comment only catches an attentive human.

   Two decisions worth stating, because both look like oversights:

   All nine faces are declared, but `typography.css` only reaches for four of
   them (Inter 400/600/700, Newsreader 400 italic/700). A declared-but-unused
   `@font-face` is never fetched — it costs repository size and nothing else —
   and declaring the full set keeps this file a transcription of the kit rather
   than of one site's current usage.

   Only Inter-Regular and Newsreader-Bold are preloaded, in `lib/assets.dart`.
   Those two draw the first screen of every page: body copy and the masthead.
   Preloading a face the page does not use is a wasted request on the critical
   path, which is the opposite of what a preload is for.

   `font-display: swap` on all nine — FOUT over FOIT. On a text-first site with
   no JavaScript, three-quarters of a second of invisible text is worse than a
   reflow.
